WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Gunther “Geb” Gebhard A Celebration of Life Memorial service for Gunther “Geb” Gebhard was held January 19, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church. Meditation by Reverend Gregory S. Young. “Geb” died January 12, 2013 in Fresno, CA. He was born on August 6, 1927 in Madelia, MN to Amanda and Robert Gebhard. He worked at International Harvester at Westbrook and Storden with R.J. Gebhard. Geb and his family moved to Fresno, CA in 1956, where he worked for International Harvester. Following that work, he worked for Fresno Equipment Company as a sales manager. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children: Gail Davis, Jean (Paul) Swarat, Gary (Sharon) Gebhard, John Gebhard; grandchildren: Sarah Ariaz, Jessica Davis, Jennifer and Jill Gebhard, Megan, Peter and Mary Gebhard, Lisa Swarat: great grandchildren: Mikhail and Ashley; sister Dolores Olson; brothers Werner and Robert Gebhard; sister-in-law Stella Cohrs, Westbrook. Kenneth Clarke Funeral services for Kenneth “Ken” Clarke were held February 18, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Westbrook, MN. Interment was in Westbrook Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent via www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Kenneth “Ken” Clarke, 98, of Milford, IA, formerly of Westbrook, died February 14, 2013 at the Milford Nursing Center. Kenneth Clarke was born December 27, 1914 in Des Moines River Township, MN to Sumner and Mildred (Bachman) Clarke. He received his primary education at Country School District #96 and attended Westbrook High School. Ken enlisted in the US Air Force in 1942, proudly serving his country as an airplane mechanic. He was stationed in the US & France, earning a Medal of Honor for Good Conduct. Ken was honorably discharged in 1945. He farmed with his father and brother, Don, in Des Moines River Township for a number of years after returning from his military service. On November 24, 1950, he was united in marriage to Thelma Boaz at the Windom Methodist Church. Ken bought Duffy’s Oil Company in 1958. He sold the business and retired in 1980. Ken took great pride in his job as church treasurer. Ken enjoyed gardening, yard work and reading the newspaper, all activities he could do at home. His family was important to him and he looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a gentleman and humble human being, he cared for others and was always willing to lend a hand. Survivors include his children: Doug (Mary Lou) Clarke, Spirit Lake, IA, Maribeth Clarke, Milford, IA, and Richard Clarke, Pipestone; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister Marion Mulder, Slayton; brother Donald (Betty) Clarke, Santa Rosa, CA; and the Mitchell families. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Thelma; brothers Lester and Raymond; brothers-in-law Allen Ouverson and Ralph Mulder.
