WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     WWg  — Charger head girls basketball coach Sheryl Woelber received word from the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association that Westbrook Walnut Grove senior Paige Erickson has been selected to play on one of four All Star Basketball teams.

Ten players from each of the four basketball classes will be selected to make up four teams with players from all classes on each team. The teams will  then play off for the championship on Saturday afternoon.

Erickson a member of the 1000 point club was one of just 10 girls selected to the Class  A team. She will attend a training camp on Friday April 26, and play a game at University of St. Thomas that evening.

Saturday morning the All Stars will attend a Ms. Basketball Brunch followed by third place and championship games.

Her coach Sheryl Woelber said,  “Paige loves the game of basketball, and  enjoys it both on and off the court. She watches games in her off time and that has helped her become the player she is.”

“She has really stepped into the leadership role this year as a senior, and has helped the younger girls to improve, Woelber said. I’ve been working with Paige since the 5th grade and I’ve enjoyed watching her mature and excel in the game. She will be missed — both on and off the court.”

    Good luck Paige!
