WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Cody Dean Russel Nelson
Memorial Services for Cody Dean Russel Nelson, age 30 of Storden, were held Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden with Pastor Cole McCormick officiating.
Cody died unexpectedly on Friday morning, August 30, 2013, at his home in Storden at the age of 30.
Cody Dean Russel Nelson was born on November 11, 1982, in Worthington, Minnesota to Dean and Karla (Stoever) Nelson. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden, Minnesota. He received his education from Red Rock Central School where he graduated in 2001. After high school, Cody attended Ridgewater Technical College in Willmar for two years. Cody started to work for POET Biorefining in Bingham Lake in May of 2013 where he worked in maintenance.
Cody was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden. He was also a member of the Storden Fire Department and Storden Men's Club. Cody enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and time spent with his friends. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his children, Brekyn and Kendra.
Survivors include his children, Brekyn Nelson of Windom and Kendra Nelson of Tracy; parents, Dean and Karla Nelson of Storden; two sisters, Kali Nelson and her fiancé, Daniel Quade, of Storden and Jaycee Nelson of Mankato; two grandmothers, Barbara Eigenberg of Heron Lake and Ada Nelson-Matz of Walters; special friend, Kim Ostgaard of Tracy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three grandfathers, Russel Stoever, Jay Nelson, and Herbert Eigenberg.
Kenneth Everett Gleason
Funeral Services for Ken Gleason were held at Slayton Presbyterian Church, Slayton September 6, 2013. Interment was at the Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton, MN. Military honors accorded by the Currie American Legion Post and the Westbrook VFW Post. To send condolences visit totzkefuneralhome.com.
Ken died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Golden Living Center-Slayton at the age of 93.
Ken Gleason was born on February 10, 1920 in Valley City, North Dakota to Walter and Emma Wendt Gleason. He grew up in Valley City and attended country school. On January 20, 1942 Ken enlisted in the United States Army and served as motor pool sergeant. On December 29, 1944 he and Rose Kawecki were married in Orlando, FL. Following his honorable discharge on January 11, 1946 they moved to Currie, MN and Ken and Rose owned and operated Ken’s Repair Shop in Currie. Rose passed away in May 1984. Ken remained in Currie following her death. On October 1, 1985 he and Gladys Arnold were married in Windom, MN. Following their marriage they made their home in Currie. In 2010 Ken became a resident of the Golden Living Center-Slayton. Gladys passed away in November 2011. He was a member of the Currie American Legion Post and the Westbrook VFW Post. Ken served on the Currie City Council for many years. In his younger years Ken enjoyed racing cars and bowling.
Survivors include his children, James Gleason of Savage, MN, Darrell Gleason and his wife, Marlene of Currie, MN, and Donald Gleason of Carver, MN, three grandchildren, Amy Caspers, Mark Gleason and Michael Gleason, two great-grandchildren and one sister, Violet Hudson of Mankato, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wives, Rose and Gladys; seven brothers, Clarence, Elmer, Oran, Arlie, William, Roy and Earl; two sisters, Faye and Mabel.
Yvonne “Vonnie” Darlene Hollingsworth

Yvonne Hollingsworth, Age 82, of Dovray, MN, formerly of Rapid City, SD and Mankato, MN died August 31, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Westbrook, MN.
Yvonne was born September 9, 1930 to Ingwald and Regina Iverson in Dovray, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She attended Dovray schools and was married to Chester Hollingsworth in Dovray, MN. Yvonne enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also volunteered at the church, with church groups and several other functions.
Survivors include her children Terry (Mary) Hollingsworth of Lake Crystal, MN; Keith (Marna) Hollingsworth of Rapid City, SD; Becky (Bob) Conyers of Park Rapids, MN; Mary (John) Kilkelly of Minnetonka, MN. Sisters Ruby Yochem; Iola Bergman; and Helen Iverson. Grandchildren: Nathan and Peter Rice, Lisa Anderson, Chad and Garrett Hollingsworth, Tanya Hollingsworth, Tyler, Whitney, Mackenzie Kilkelly and 10 great grandchildren.
Precedeing her in death wewre her parents Ingwald and Regina Iverson; her husband Chester Hollingsworth; and sister Hazel Bergman.
