WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Craig Eugene Cohrs

    Funeral services for Craig Eugene Cohrs, 58, were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Upper Ag Building at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas, WY with Pastor Steve Vetter of the First Baptist Church officiating and Darcy Cohrs as the eulogist. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Andy Moore, Mike Werner, Fred Larson, Shannon Cohrs, Caleb Cohrs, Dave Benson, Alex Benson, and all of his many friends and co-workers. A memorial to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, 5705 Grant Creek, Missoula, Montana 59808 would be appreciated by the family.



    Craig, 58, died of natural causes Sunday, December 1, 2013 while elk hunting south of Douglas.

    Craig was born November 27, 1955 in Westbrook, MN the son of Donald Orin and Doris Jean (Bierman) Cohrs. He grew up in Dovray, MN, but he always called Wyoming home.

    He graduated from Westbrook High School, Westbrook MN in 1974. He attended and graduated from Jackson Technical School and moved to Wyoming in 1977.

    Craig worked at the Wyoming Highway Department in Douglas as a mechanic at the time of his death.

    He married the love of his life, Robin E (Fenton) on August 29, 2009. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, as they trapped, hunted, or fished on their days off.

    Survivors include his wife, Robin Cohrs, Douglas; daughter Heather Cohrs, Broomfield, CO; sons Marcus Cohrs and Josh Cohrs both of Estherville, IA and Don Cohrs (Jenny), Casper, WY; step-children, Kimberly Schwartzkopf (Justin), Douglas, WY, Travis Gruwell (Amanda), Bartonville, IL and Kristi Pearson, Douglas, WY; grandchildren, Jayden Ferrell, Collins Cohrs, Preston Schwartzkopf, Broc Schwartzkopf, Addisyn Gruwell and Daxen Pearson; sisters, Julie Cohrs-Barker (Bob), Jeffers, MN, Darcy Cohrs (Dave) Benson,  Fargo, ND; brother Shannon Cohrs (Angie), Dovray, MN  and many nieces and nephews.

    Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

    Dale “Sonny” John Herding

    Funeral services for Dale Herding were held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Westbrook Funeral Home.  Interment was in the Highland Home Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent via www.stephensfuneralservice.com.    

    Dale, 71,  Westbrook died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Westbrook Good Samaritan after a year-long battle with cancer.

    Dale “Sonny” John Herding was born February 16, 1942 in Slayton, MN to William and Bena (Aeilts) Herding.  He was baptized and confirmed at Hadley Lutheran Church.  Sonny attended country school near Hadley and later attended school in Slayton.  He entered the US Army and served in Vietnam.  He received his honorable discharge in 1969.  Following his military service, Sonny worked in the Twin Cities for two years. He then farmed with his brother for a few years.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed horses.  Sonny loved spending time in his Peterbilt trucks hauling cattle out west, to and from Montana.  Truck stops were his home away from home.  Sonny was a member of the Storden Legion, and collected John Deere tractors which he enjoyed rebuilding and restoring.  He loved buying used pickup trucks and souping them up with loud pipes and big tires.  Sonny loved the Vikings and Twins, and reading western books, especially those by Louis L’Amour.  

    Survivors include his siblings: Joyce (Richard) Johnson of Hadley, Marlys Hrmatko of Worthington, Joan (Phil) Peterson of Northfield, and Butch Herding of Hadley; and several nieces and nephews who were very special to him.  

    Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers Eugene, Dennis, and Curt.  

Jack Coulson

    Funeral services for Jack Coulson were held Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will be in the Jeffers Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.

    Jack, 69, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Jeffers, died Friday, December 6, 2013 at his home following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

    Jack Coulson was born December 17, 1943 in Mountain Lake, MN to Archie and Della (Jenson) Coulson.  He married the love of his life, Cheryl Maronde, on September 19, 1964 at the United Methodist Church in Wood Lake.  Together they made their home in Redwood Falls.  Jack worked at Scott Preusse from 1962 to November 2006 as an auto body repair man.  He was a very hard worker.  Jack was a handyman who enjoyed making and fixing things, improving them for his own use, and making things look good.  He loved working in the garage.  Jack helped people whenever someone needed anything.  He was a very good friend to many people.  Jack loved to celebrate his Irish side.

    Survivors include his wife Cheryl; sons Tony Coulson, Cocoa Beach, FL, and Rick (Marcy) Coulson, Fairmont, WV; grandchildren Hannah and Grayson; siblings: Darlene Meier , Jeffers, Lonnie Coulson, Fairmont, Connie (Laverne) Breuer, Windom, Elno Coulson, Dubuque, IA, JoAnn Keech, Elk River, and Jimmy (Janice) Coulson, East Dubuque, IL; and many other relatives and friends.  

    Preceding him in death were his parents;  brothers Bob and Duke.
