WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Walnut Grove — In honor or memory of loved ones the Museum will install 12 decorative street light around the museum Grounds.
According to museum director Amy Ankrum the lights were to be a part of the original museum expansion program, but they ran out of funding so the project was put on hold.
When the word went out that the museum would seek donations to fund the project it didn’t take long for several families to step forward to purchase a Light. The first light to go up will be in Memory of Lee Steffen. “Lee was a board member that did an awful lot for the museum,” Ankrum said.
On May 25 the museum will hold a “Walk of Lights” dedication and memories of the museum’s forty years. It will be held on the Museum grounds at 7:00 p.m. when the lights will be lit.
Editors note. There will be a story chronicling the museum, and the Little House Television show Reunion which will be held during the last weekend of the Wilder Pageant.
