WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     Walnut Grove — The city of Walnut Grove will be the center of the universe this weekend when 11 celebrity cast members will appear for the cast reunion of Little House on the Prairie. The reunion will also coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum.

The staff at the museum, along with a reunion committee, have been working diligently to prepare for what will probably be the biggest event in the history of Walnut Grove.

Museum director said the committee has been busy working on the event since the spring of 2013.

Several of the stars have been here before, with Alison Arngrim, Nasty Nellie Oleson, making the most  appearances, starting in 1994.

In all 11 former cast members will be making appearances the weekend of July 25-27.

Actors that will be returning to Walnut Grove for the reunion are; Dean Butler who played Laura’s husband in the series. Charlotte Stewart who played Laura’s teacher Miss Beadle. Lindsay and Rachel Greenbush twins that played Carrie Ingalls.

Six other actors will be coming to Walnut Grove for the first time. They are Lucy Lee Flippen who played Eliza Jane Wilder Charles Ingalls sister. Wendi Turnbaugh Lee and Brenda Turnbaugh Weatherby who played Grace Ingalls. Hersha Parady who played Alice Garvey. Finally Radames Pera who played John Sanderson Edwards, the adopted, son of Mr. Edwards (Victor French). Dan McBride who played Henry Riley.

There has been several cast reunions over the years at various Little House sites, but this is the first for Walnut Grove.

The event has spurred ticket sales for both nights of the pageant this weekend.

Reserved seating for both nights has been sold out for months. Overall there has been over 1400 tickets sold for Friday evening, and over 1700 tickets sold for Saturday night. Tickets have been limited to 2400 for each night, and there are still general admission tickets available.

The only thing that could rain on the parade this weekend would be rain. But the pageant has a great record of only having three rained out performances in the past 36 years.

Last week the pageant had a good run both nights with 787 on Friday night and 1000 on Saturday night.
