Sanford CT Scanner dedicatedLast Thursday afternoon the new four slice CT scanner was dedicated at Sanford Westbrook Medical Center
WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- WESTBROOK — About fifty people gathered at the Sanford Westbrook Medical Center to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new four slice CT scanner. Before the ribbon cutting ceremony visitors were able to go through the new facility. Many of those seeing the CT scanner area were very impressed with how large the area was. A common comment was, “This place looks much bigger on the inside compared to the outside of the building.” Speaking on behalf of the center was Stacy Barstad administror for the Westbrook and Tracy facilities. She thanked Dave and Janice Tweet and the community for their help in facilatating the memorial project which was mad possible through a generous donation from Janice’s brother Winston’s estate. Janice Tweet also spoke a few words on behalf of her brother “Winnie” about his interests and knowlege, noting that he was a walking encyclopedia. Sanford board member Nate Knakmuhs spoke on behalf of the Community Hospital board. Thanking the Tweets for their part in the new CT Scanner wing at the hospital.
