A Night in ParisMonday evening the Westbrook Walnut Grove student council kicked off Spring Week with the coronation, Amy Nelson and Jarrett Herder were named queen and king
WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- WWG — The evening started with the introduction of emcees Maddie Frank and Karley Deprez. They then introduced the usher and usherette Andrew Merrick and Megan Dallenbach. Class attendants were: freshmen, Tristan Joel, and Kalee Mischke; sophomores Alex Knutson, and Shiney Her; juniors Logan Hotzler and Hailey Osland. Next the king and queen candidates were introduced. Queen candidates were: Felicia Cohrs, Anne Woelber, Amy Nelson, Nancy Yang, Amelia Malmberg, and Sara Schoborg. King candidates were: Ryan Byers, Shawn Hanson, Jarett Herder, Nick Lehnhoff, Michael Pierson, and Mark Baker. Following the introductions Haily Osland talked about the track program, followed by entertainment by Tommy Knutson and Logan Hotzler. Katie Dusek then gave a report on the softball team, followed by a musical selection by Tong Vang. Jarett Herder and Andy Merrick gave their comments on the baseball team followed by Briannon Weringa entertaining with “Fight the Fear of Speech.” Nick Lehnhoff then reported on the progress of the golf teams this spring. Homecoming queen Jamie Olson added her perspective on Spring Week before crowning the new Spring Week King Jarett Herder. Homecoming King Jake Comnick added his comments before crowning the Spring Week Queen Amy Nelson. This weeks Spring Week activities included: Monday — Spaghetti eating contest; Tuesday — Toga Day; Wednesday — Fake an Injury Day; Thursday — Farmer Day; Friday — Messy Games Activity; Saturday — Spring Formal, and Grand March at 7:00 p.m.
