Between the LineDeJaVu and other phenomena . . .
WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Normally I don’t put a lot of stock in para normal things that occur from time to time. Near death experiences or out of body experiences that sort of thing. There are a ton of illusionists that do some pretty amazing things, Chris Angel comes to mind, he does some amazing things like self levitation, but I still don’t believe it. Last Saturday morning I was having breakfast with Dale Nelson and Gar Warner. During the course of the meal Gar told us a couple of amazing stories. He said he was talking with a friend of his who was doing a home repair project, and had misplaced his drill. Gar told him “why don’t you try praying to St. Anthony.” For those of you who are not familiar with St. Anthony, he is to Catholics, the patron saint of lost items. Well his friend didn’t think it would work and told Warner he wouldn’t do that. So Gar a lutheran told him “well if you won’t do it I will.” Later his friend called him up and said, you won’t believe this but when I went into my closet I tripped over my drill. Well later Warner went to New Ulm to shoot his pistol at a gun range there. After ward he stopped at a couple places to pick up some items, then went home. Later he discovered his pistol was missing. He looked all over the house and couldn’t find it. So he called the New Ulm Police to report it as lost, thinking it might have fallen out of the car somewhere. Well again he thought I might as well try St. Anthony again since it worked for his friend. Later on he went into his underwear drawer, where he normally kept his pistol, and low and behold there was his pistol. Warner swears he looked there more than once. He then called his friend and told him about it and his friend replied “well maybe you should change your underwear more often.” Well after I got back from breakfast I was reading a newspaper and I told Best Friend about the story. Later that morning I got a call from some friends of ours who live in Eagle Lake, but own a farm near Walnut Grove. We had been out for supper with them the night before and when we got back we stayed for a while at their farm place to visit. She asked me if I had lost a key, and I said “well yes but I lost it last fall.” She then described the key, and it was the key I had lost. They were on their way back to their home in Eagle Lake so I told them we will get it the next time we see them. I looked at Best Friend and she looked at me, and then I said “Wow all we did was talk about St. Anthony and within less than an hour my lost key was found by someone else. I don’t know about you, but from now on when I can’t find something I am going to call on St. Anthony for help.” Have a great week and do good!
