WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     Walnut Grove — Tuesday evening June 5,  Gordy Vosberg of rural Dovray was injured in a collision with a deer. Vosberg was riding with a group of riders from the Dovray Currie area about 6:30 p.m. on their way to a bike night event at Wabasso.

    He collided with the deer about five miles north of Walnut Grove on County Road 5 near 170th Street.

    Vosberg was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Tracy by the Walnut Grove Ambulance. Vosberg was then transferred to Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.



    According to a report by the Redwood County Sheriffs office, the Redwood County Sheriff, and the Minnesota State Patrol also responded to the accident.

    The report indicated the 2009 Yamaha Road Star motor cycle sustained moderate damage. Vosberg was wearing a helmet.

    According to his wife, Linda, her husband, Gordy, was expected to be released as of Thursday June 7. She said he did not have any broken bones, but had aggravated injuries to previous medical issues. She also noted he was doing very well, all considered.
