Council and school board filings

WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     Special — In Walnut Grove all three incumbents filed to retain their seats. Greg Hansen filed for Mayor for 2 years. Todd Harrington, and  Xiong Yang filed for 4 year terms on the city council.

    In Westbrook there will be a race for city council members.

    Mayor Rocky Kolar did not file for another 2 year term. Filing for Mayor was Dennis (Digger) Phelps. Incumbent John Madson filed for one of the two open council positions. Also filing for those positions are Marvin Sorenson, Amanda Jorgenson, and Lawrence Carlson.

    The WWG School Board will have one open seat as long time member and chairperson Gene Kronback has decided to step down. Those running for the 4 seats are: Virginia Barron and incumbents - Marvin Kleven, Bruce Jorgenson, Tim Helmer.
