WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) -- Mary Christians

    Memorial services for Mary Christians were held Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Westbrook Funeral Home.    Private family burial will be at a later date.  Online condolences may be sent via www.stephensfuneralservice.com.

    Mary Christians age 48 of Westbrook, formerly of Eufaula, OK, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls after an extended illness.  



    Mary Sue Nichols was born April 9, 1964 in Lakewood, CA to Leonard and Regina (Carr) Nichols.  On October 3, 1998 she was united in marriage to Curtis Christians at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Longtown, OK.  Mary had a passion for helping people.  Prior to her illness she worked as a nurse’s assistant.  She enjoyed animals, playing darts, gardening, and fishing.  Mary loved spending time with Curtis, her nephews and nieces, and visiting with people.  

    Survivors include her husband Curtis; nieces and nephews: Lacey Ward, Eufaula, OK;  Amy Nichols, Norman, OK; Noor and Noah Garoui, and Landon Wooten; siblings: Sydney (David) Duke, Modesto, CA;  Debra Garoui,  Keller, TX;  David (Terri) Nichols, Eufaula, OK, and Daniel Nichols, Modesto, CA; and many other relatives and friends.  

    Preceding her in death were her parents; brother Otto “Lynn” Copeland, and step-father David Kersey.
