HULL, Iowa (STPNS) -- Johanna Van Bochove. 82, of Yankton formerly of Hudson, S.D., died Friday,

November 21, 2008. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Bethany Reformed Church, Canton, S.D. Burial was held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.

Johanna Van Holland was born November 29, 1925, in Rock Valley, daughter

of Aart and Hermina (Van Galen) Van Holland. She worked at Dykstra Produce. Johanna married Case Van Bochove on May 21, 1946, in Rock Valley. Together they lived on farms NW of Hull 11 years; NW of Rock Valley 8 years; south of Rock Rapids 10 years; before moving to Hudson in 1983 where she worked at Colonial Manor in the kitchen. Case died on April 15, 1993. Johanna moved to Prairie Homes Assisted Living in Yankton in May 2001. Johanna collected dolls and loved to cook.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn (Beverly) Van Bochove of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Jim Van Bochove of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Myron ?Mike? (Sue) Van Bochove of Hawarden; daughter, Carol (Steve) Vande Kop of Yankton, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Moss (Evalena) Van Holland of Chino, Calif.; sister, Hermina Berghorst of Dell Rapids, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Case; granddaughter, Annette Van

Bochove; brothers, Martin, John, and Bert Van Holland; sisters, Winnie De

Vries, Martha Van Holland, and Alyce Miedema.
