Neil Robertson Partridge Dec. 1, 1918   Feb. 10, 2007

Neil Robertson Partridge died at home, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007.  Neil was born in Cowley to Mark Neil and Eliza Alverda Robertson Partridge on Dec. 1, 1918. He married Elsie Marie Rigby on June 26, 1941 in Salt Lake City.

Neil lived in Cowley until he attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He lived in San Francisco while serving in the U. S. Navy in WWII. During his working career he lived in Cheyenne, Denver, New York City, Chatham, NJ, and retired to Santa Clara, Utah and later Layton, Utah.



He was a lifetime faithful member of the L.D.S. church. He served a mission in the central states mission as a young man and a welfare mission as a retiree. Neil served in a variety of positions in the church, including bishop of three different wards and stake patriarch.

Neil was active as a leader in Boy Scouts at various times. He was an electrical engineer with AT&T and its affiliates for 44 years. Neil was associated with the Telephone Company Pioneers and service organizations.

Neil was a ?jack-of-all-trades? and master of all. He could fix anything and helped everyone by fixing things, even when visiting on vacation. He was generous with others but worked toward perfection in himself.

Neil is survived by his wife Elsie, son, Dr. Scott (Cheryl) Partridge, Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Ann (Don) Shunn,  Kaysville, Utah; Maureen (Boyd) Ross, Layton;  brothers,  Lloyd Partridge, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jay Partridge, Powell; Alden Partridge, Rexburg, Idaho; sister, Karma Allred, Cowley. He is survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren (and one more on the way).

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his sons, Michael and Eric, his brother Bruce and sister LaVern.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Lindquist?s Layton Mortuary. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 at the Cowley Cemetery.
