MCKENZIE BRIDGE, Oregon (STPNS) -- In a pre-Opening Day tradition, Oregon Dept. of Fish & Wildlife and the McKenzie River Guides joined together to stock the mainstem River with 7,000 fish. Last Wednesday a crew filled a pontoon planter boat with catchable trout at the Blue River Landing. ODFW?s Jeff Ziller, above, directed the feeder  pipe into the fish tank. Looking on was McKenzie Guide Aaron Helfrich. The stocking extended down to Leaburg Lake with stops at Silver Creek and Ben & Kay Dorris Park to reload the tank with another 2,000 fish at both stops.
