MOSCOW, Idaho (STPNS) -- Hailey Malm, daughter of Brad and Kim Malm, was chosen as Troy's 2009 Junior Miss Saturday evening March 15 in a program titled "Midnight at theMardi Gras.

Hailey also won the Interview and the Be Your Best Self portion of the competition and was awarded a total of $1,650 in scholarships. She will also attend the state Junior Miss competition in Coeur d'Alene this fall.

Erin Gram, daughter of Walter and Jena Gram, was awarded the first runner-up title. Along with the first runner- up title, Erin was also awarded the Scholastics, Talent and the Spirit of Junior Miss awards and was awarded a total of $1,250 in scholarships.



The Self Expression scholarship was awarded to Hannah Espy, daughter of Kevin and Kimberlee Espy. Jessica Case, daughter of Thomas and Rhonda Case, won the fitness portion of the competition. They each received $150 scholarships.

Judges for the evening were Dr. Susan Borjesson off Pullman, Alaina Alters of Hayden, Mary Whittenberg of Clarkston, Heather Page of Moscow, Julie Schaefer of Asotin and Chrissy Shelton of of Pullman. The program was emceed by Dave McGraw.

Providing special entertainment for the evening were the "Little Miss" participants, who are elementary school girls. Participating were: Abbey Blum, Grace Callister, Kylee Callister, Erica Case, Bonnie Dunworth, Jordyne Fredrickson, Kendra Fry, Marissa Fry, Sara Fry, Blazie Gilder, Jimmie Gilder, Gabby Girard, Sidney Halseth, Bailey Lunders, McKenzie Malm, Paige McGraw, Julianne Nelson, Kassidi Nelson, Allysa Salerno, Madison Sanderson, Anna Schetzle, Emma Schetzle, Hannah Thomas and Mackenzie Vogt.
